Description
Robot Explorers: Building and Programming for Kids
This is a hands-on course designed to introduce young learners to the exciting world of robotics and programming using WeDo. Through interactive lessons, students will build, program, and explore different robotic models while developing essential STEM skills.
This course follows Milo, the Science Rover, a fun and friendly robot that kids will assemble and enhance with motion and tilt sensors. By progressively adding new capabilities to Milo, students will learn how sensors work, how to program robots to react to their environment, and how to use loops and logic to make their robots smarter.
Each lesson includes:
- A STEM connection, explaining real-world applications of robotics.
- Hands-on building, where students follow clear steps to assemble their robot.
- Programming challenges, introducing simple coding concepts.
- Exercises, reinforcing problem-solving and creativity.
By the end of the course, students will have built and programmed multiple robotic models, experimented with sensors and movement, and even worked on a collaborative robotics challenge to think like real engineers!
Perfect for young innovators, this course fosters critical thinking, creativity, and teamwork—all while having fun with robotics!
